Energy Firms Made to Help Poor

Energy firms are being forced to help the poor by a new law. The main companies apparently have a voluntary social tariff offering cheaper rates at the moment but it will be made compulsory. The only company I know which offers a cheaper rate for people on income support is EDF, but it's not widely advertised.
