This Week's Money Saving Tip

There are many ways to save money and many areas to save money in. One of these areas is household bills.

It has been announced today that EDF has reduced it's electricity prices. Many people will be rushing to sign up with them on the strength of that. My advice is WAIT A WHILE. The other energy companies will be reacting soon, very probably, so compare the market once they've all dropped their prices. It might not be worth changing companies, or maybe it will!

Saving on our gas and electricity is extra important now due to reducing our CO2 emissions so there's lots of advice out there on how to use less energy and hence reduce the cost of it, but one government site which I think is quite good is
Act on CO2 because you answer a questionaire, it calculates the size of your CO2 footprint, but best of all, based on your answers, it gives you personal advice on how you can save money by producing less CO2. Do the questionaire at Act on CO2:

Another website which gives hints and tips on reducing your gas and electricity usage is the Energy Saving Trust, a non-profit organisation which offers free, impartial advice on saving money and reducing carbon dioxide emissions. Check out the Energy Saving Trust at:
